Vivian H. Braun, 84 of Carmine, died November 20, 2004 in La Grange. Vivian was born September 1, 1920 in Warrenton to Alfred & Katy Alhorn Marburger. She was baptized on November 7, 1920 in Oldenberg and confirmed on September 13, 1932 in St. John s Lutheran Church in Warrenton. She was educated in Warrenton Schools. On February 14, 1942, Vivian married Elmo Robert Klatt in Houston. Mr. Klatt preceded her in death on May 8, 1978. For many years she worked for the Village Café in Carmine and was a docent for the Winedale Historical Center, and was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. On April 4, 1991 she married Erich Braun at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Patsy & William Delk of Austin, Gwen & Joe Dykes of Buda, Lou Ann Stokes of Spring, her grandchildren, Amy Delk of Austin, Timothy Stokes of Houston, Brandon Dykes of Austin, great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Mikayla Sechler, Dorian Dykes, and sister, Eva Lee Tonn of La Grange. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Elmo Robert Klatt, her second husband, Erich Braun, and her granddaughter, Kelly Dykes. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, in Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine with Pastor Paul Bohot officiating. Burial will follow in La Bahia Cemetery. Memorial may be given to Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home, 13560 West Washington Street , Burton, 979289-3111.
