Wallace Levy

Wallace James Levy, 93, husband of Sydonia Hoermann Levy, died February 18, 2013 in Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Ledbettter Community Church in Ledbetter, with John Gantt officiating. Wallace Levy was born Aug. 3, 1919 in Ledbetter to Robert and Martha Gantt Levy. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. On Oct. 6, 1940, he married Sydonia Hoermann in Giddings. Mr Levy was employed as a mechanic shop supervisor for a road construction company. Survivors include his wife, Sydonia Levy of Ledbetter; sons Phillip Levy of Chilton, and Larry Levy of Katy; daughter, Helen Bassett of Brenham, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
