Walline (Schroeder) Hinze, 96, widow of Ervin Hinze, passed away on December 12, 2020. Walline was born on September 24, 1924 in the William Penn Community to parents Walter and Lena (Rosenbaum) Schroeder. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn, being baptized, confirmed and also married there, to Ervin Hinze on February 3, 1946.
Walline was educated at the William Penn schools, graduating high school in 1941. She was a seamstress for Lange Tic Toc Infant Wear for many years. In her retirement years, Walline continued her talents quilting, knitting and crocheting items for family and friends. She and her husband, Ervin, enjoyed their farm in William Penn, and continually supported the endeavors of their children and grandchildren.
Walline is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allan and Linda Hinze, Ronnie and Joan Hinze; grandchildren, Loralyn and Robert Logan, Brad and Brenna Hinze, Beau Hinze, Ty and Erin Hinze, Shae and Michael Lawder; great-grandchildren, Addison and Ellie Logan, Grasyn Hinze, Callan and Briggs Hinze, Reese, Ainsley and Drew Hinze, Paige and Bree Lawder; and sister-in-law, Lorine Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Ervin Hinze, great-grandson, Cal Christian Hinze; parents Walter and Lena Schroeder; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Henrietta Hinze; brother, Nolan Schroeder; brother and sister-in-law, Harven and Adela Schroeder; and in-laws, Henry and Alma Gaskamp, Edwin and Ella Mae Hinze, Arnold and Laura Hohltkamp, Oscar and Lois Hinze, Alfred and Doris Becker, and Ernest Hinze Jr.
The Hinze family wishes to thank and express its appreciation for the wonderful attention and care provided for their loving mother by the staffs of Focused Care of Brenham, Scott and White Hospital in Brenham and Hospice Brazos Valley.
For those who wish to pay their respects, visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in the William Penn Community, on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10:00 am., with Pastor Mark Moldenhauer officiating.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn and Hospice Brazos Valley.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
