Walter Bradley Geist died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan, Tx. He was born March 2, 1936 in Joliet, IL. To Walter "Bud" and Luana Geist. Brad was a master electrician. He originally worked for the family company in Houston. Later, he owned his own electrical contracting business in Alpine. After retiring, he moved to Madisonville. Brad graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1954. He attended Austin College and the University of Houston. He associated with Jehovah''s Witnesses for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, a good meal, and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Brad is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Daniel Gibbons of Brenham; sisters Ferne Scholl of Missouri City, Texas, and Linnea Waite of Broken Arrow, Ok.; nephews Walter Scholl and Charles "Chuck" Waite; nieces Gretchen Conley, Lydia Lynch, and Ruth Beall; great-nieces and nephew Kristen Conley, Mary Lynch, Kelly Lynch, Margaret Lynch, Hannah Lynch, Robert Beall and Leila Beall.
