It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Michael Reese, who left us on August 10, 2024, at the age of 69. A longtime resident of Brenham, TX, Walter was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Walter was born on July 12, 1955, in Meadville, PA and was the cherished son of Walter A. Reese and Geraldine L. Reese (Leonard). He was known for his easy-going demeanor, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality, he brought a unique blend of charisma and authenticity to every interaction.
Walter enjoyed a successful career at Valmont Industries, where he earned respect and camaraderie from his colleagues. Outside of work, he was passionate about enjoying life's simple pleasures - whether it was savoring a cold drink, hitting the open road on his motorcycle, or indulging in good conversations. His love for music, grilling and birds was well known, as was his 'let the good times roll' attitude that made him both a beloved and unforgettable character.
He is survived by his sons, Justin Reese and his wife Allison (Tait) Reese, and Michael Reese. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Madison Thompson, Colton Reese, Kendall Reese, and Hayden Reese, and his great-grandson, Kingston James. He is fondly remembered by his sister, Elizabeth (Betsy) Landuyt, and his niece, Stacy (Cole) Ranney.
