Wanda Roberts

Wanda Carol Roberts, 72, of Brenham died Nov. 15, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Roberts was born March 10, 1934 in Auglaize County, Ohio to Samuel and Mildred Cummins Harpest. She attended school in Logan County, Ohio. On Jan. 18, 1953 she was married to Frederick LeRoy Roberts in Logan County, Ohio. Mrs. Roberts was a retired secretary for Central Texas Construction. She was a member of First Christian Church of Brenham. Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Janice Roberts of Sealy, Bruce Roberts and Chris Roberts, both of Brenham; grandchildren, Jason Roberts, Brad Roberts, Jamie and Mike Prigmore; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vernis Krites and Sharon and Richard Holley of Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Nellie Harpest and Huldah Harpest of Ohio; and mother-in-law, Esther Roberts of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Roberts of 53 years, her parents and four brothers. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Gary Jeter officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Bradley Fischer, Larry Roberts, Mike Prigmore, Brad Roberts, Jason Roberts, and Richard Goodlett. Memorials may be given in her honor to First Christian Church of Brenham and Hospice.
