Warren Sallach, Jr.

Warren Walter Sallach, Jr., 65, of Brenham, husband of Becky Hermann Sallach, passed away October 14, 2017 in San Antonio.

Funeral services for Warren are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Warren Sallach, Jr. was born October 19, 1951 in Houston to Warren Walter Sr. and Lois Daughtry Sallach. He was employed as a construction dispatcher until his illness. After high school, he received an Associate’s degree from Murray State College. On January 1, 2001, he married Becky Hermann in the historic Independence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Sallach; son, Travis Warren Sallach, both of Brenham; step-daughter, Brittani Smith and special friend, Connor Lamb; stepson, Dustin Smith; granddaughter, Nadalli Smith; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred and Janice Hermann; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Melissa and Robert Cook, and nieces, Katy and Kelsey Beckermann. Also surviving are his beloved pet companions, Cooper and Toby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Lois Sallach; sister, Evelyn Loscuito, and a special Chocolate Lab, Ethel.

Warren Sallach was a quiet and simple man. An avid outdoorsman, he treasured time spent with his only son, Travis. Together, they spent many hours in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He was a beekeeper, and a gunsmith. With a keen sense of humor, he always had a joke to share with others. Gentle and kind, Warren was committed to his family, and they will greatly miss him.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Smith, Robert Cook, Todd Luedecke, Destry Brobston, David Sullivan, and Martin Mora. Bailey Fish will be honorary pallbearer.

Memorials may be directed to First Baptist School of Brenham, First United Methodist Church, or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
