Weldon Hord, Jr.

Weldon Morris Hord, Jr., 50, of Brenham, Texas, died Aug. 21, 2004, in a plane accident in Oroville, California. Mr. Hord was born Dec. 21, 1953, in Fairfield, California, to Weldon Morris Hord, Sr. and Joy Jeanine Geiger Hord. He was baptized Oct. 5, 1963, in Gridley, California. Mr. Hord was a graduate of Marysville High School in California. On March 31, 1972, he was married to Geraldine Balcom in Loma Rica, California. Mr. Hord was the owner of Take 3 Trailers, Inc. in Brenham. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Hord of Brenham; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Maggie Hord, Richard and Kelly Hord and Randy Hord, all of Brenham; mother, Joy Hord of Brenham; brother, John Robert Hord of West Union, Ohio; sisters, LaDonna Lesh of Wheatland, California and Paulette Hord of Kentucky; and grandchildren, Hailey, Hunter and Aidan Hord. He was preceded in death by his father, Weldon Morris Hord, Sr. The family will receive friends and family at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27. A casual gathering, where everyone is welcome to celebrate Weldon s life, will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Brenham Airport Hangar.
