Wesley Norman Lueckemeyer, 84, passed away January 19, 2013 in Katy, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 26 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas. Officiating the service will be Dodie Osteen of Lakewood Church. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main in Brenham. Mr. Lueckemeyer was born April 10, 1928 in William Penn of Washington County. A graduate of Brenham High School, he married his high school sweetheart Marilyn Jurries at First Baptist Church in Brenham July 3, 1947. He owned and operated Malco Plumbing Company in Houston and served with the Prairie Hill/Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department. Cattle ranching was his gifting, but hunting, fishing and playing dominoes with his family and friends were his joys. Survivors include sons Clayton Lueckemeyer and wife Ruth of Katy and Wayne Lueckemeyer and wife Candy of Houston; grandchildren Heather Lueckemeyer, Kurt Lueckemeyer and wife Rachel, Matthew Lueckemeyer and wife Beth and Anna Lueckemeyer; great-grandchildren Katybeth Lueckemeyer and Braeden Beck; sister Marjorie Gerfen; brother Roland Lueckemeyer and wife Betty, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Meta Lueckemeyer, wife Marilyn and sisters Gladys Lueckemeyer and Viola Sorsby. Serving as pallbearers are Kurt, Matthew and Anna Lueckemeyer, Mike Bryant, John and Robert Campbell.
