Wilburn Jaeger

Mr. Wilburn R. Jaeger went home to be with Jesus on September 19, 2009. Will was born in Port Arthur, TX on February 5, 1939. When Will was 5, the family moved back to Burton. He graduated from Burton High School in 1957, receiving several certificates for "Perfect Attendance". He lettered in basketball and baseball, the American Legion honored him with the Patriotic Award. He served our country in the Air Force from July 25, 1960 to July 24, 1964 receiving an Honorable Discharge. During his military career he received the Good Conduct Metal and was Airman of the Month several times. In 1965 he went to work for Biehl & Co. He worked his way up from Customer''s Clerk to Line Manager. He was a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 152 for several years and guided his three boys to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. Will loved working in his flower beds and won Yard of the Month. He also loved wood working and made beautiful furniture for his home. Will is survived by his wife Sarah Katherine Jaeger. Son, Steven Jaeger and fiancée Jenne Jeske; daughter; Jennifer Tesone and husband Jeffrey, sons ; Warren Jaeger and wife Carrie, Jason Jaeger and wife Rebecca, four grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Lillian and Evelyn Jaeger who will miss their Popo dearly, and two grandchildren due in 2010. Also survived by brothers: Bernhardt, Melvern, Larry, and Jerry Jaeger, and his sisters: Delores Gummelt, Jeanette Zemanek, and Edith Featherston. Funeral services will be Wednesday 23, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Rich Nelson officiating, burial will be in the Jaeger-Witte Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the funeral home Tuesday, September22, 2009, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Steven C Jaeger, Warren R. Jaeger, Jason S. Jaeger, Jeffrey P. Tesone, Joseph R. Jaeger, and Thomas H. Jaeger. Honorary Pallbearers are Bernhardt Jaeger, Melvern Jaeger, Larry Jaeger and Jerry Jaeger.
