William Eldred

William G. Eldred, Jr., 84, of Brenham, died November 24, 2008, in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center. He was born January 29, 1924, to William G. Eldred and Anita Felscher Eldred. Mr. Eldred served in the U. S. Army in W.W.II, during which time he met and married Rose Anderson in Seattle, WA in 1945. After returning to Brenham, he was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and retired from that company in 1980. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rose. Survivors include his brother, James C. Eldred of Brenham, nieces Terri Eldred Scott of Katy, and Kim Eldred Carper of Sinton; nephew William G. Eldred of San Antonio, and great-niece Nicole Eldred and great-nephew William Lange Eldred of Richland, WA. Graveside services for William G. Eldred, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Prairie Lea Cemetery. Memorials may be given to a charity of choice.
