William Hollis Lehrmann, 25, of Brenham, died October 13, 2013. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Washington. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. William was born November 20, 1987 in College Station to Hollis and Elizabeth Smith Lehrmann. After graduating from Brenham High School, he earned a bachelor''s degree in Business Management from Texas A& M University, and a M.B.A. from Sam Houston State University. William was an enigma of sorts: quiet, serious, deep, thoughtful yet funny, gregarious, friendly and generous. An avid reader with an almost insatiable quest for knowledge, he was currently reading all of Hemingway''s works. He loved his friends and family passionately, with late night conversations by the chiminea, or evenings at Honey''s. William loved fishing and hunting on FM389, shooting doves and skeet practice, catching perch or bass, and wildlife cookouts. He loved Texas A&M fiercely, and his blood ran maroon. The Aggie games, tailgating and cheering on his Aggies were looked forward to all year. If nothing else, William loved tradition. From his church to his school to his politics – he was a man of principle, ethics and justice. He expected the best and gave his best. He had a taste for fine clothing, with seersucker suits, boater hats and Brooks Brothers shoes. He loved J. Peterman shirts and deck shoes, but he was just as comfortable in his denim jacket, patched boots and old worn out cowboy hat. No matter where you went, you just never quite knew how William would turn up – whether in his fancy clothes or his everyday work clothes. He was one of a kind and he had so many friends who loved him just as much as he loved them. Survivors include his parents, Hollis and Elizabeth Lehrmann of Brenham; sisters Victoria Lehrmann and Alexandria Lehrmann, all of Brenham; grandparents: Laverne Lehrmann, Patricia and William Wendler; uncles and aunts: Royce and Connie Lehrmann, and Greg and Leslie Smith; cousins: Allison Lehrmann, Katherine and Derek Chang, Christopher Lehrmann, and Brody Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, LeeRoy Lehrmann and William Waldo Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Christopher Lehrmann, Scott Antkowiak, Benjamin Radcliff, Jacob Treude, William Kankel, Steven Van Eman, John Kolkhorst, Shawn Aiken, Luke Vierus, Derek Mueller, Chip Ehlert, Ryan Engeling, John Appel, Hunter Whitehead, Kurt Alfred, and Jess Alexander.
