William Richard (Bob) Perry went to meet his Heavenly Father on September 17,2016, in Brenham, Texas. He was 84 years old.
Bob was born on November 23, 1931, the son of Sidney Richard Perry and Maureen Partin Perry, in San Augustine, Texas. Following graduating from San Augustine High School, he served in USAF for four years during the Korean conflict.
After his service he returned, where he met and married his sweetheart, Sue Reynolds on June 22, 1957. He returned to Stephen F, Austin where he completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. To the marriage was born two daughters, Suzanne Guidry, and Linda Carol Clements.
Bob began his teaching career at Blinn College in the fall of 1961. He later served as Dean of Men, Registrar and finally Vice President of Student Services. After retiring he continued to help during Registration each semester, dividing his time between gardening and grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Ann Perry Cartwright.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sue Reynolds Perry; daughter Suzannne Guidry, and husband Charlie, of Lake Arthur, LA, and daughter Linda Clements, and husband Jim of Brenham, TX. He had seven grandchildren, Matthew Richard Wood, Courtney Anease Wood and Zoi' Broussard Guidry, Jared Matthew Jensen, and wife Brooke, Zachary Scott Jensen and wife LeAnn, Ryan Dresch, and Todd Jensen. He also had seven great grandchildren, sister and brother in law Karen and Dale Kent, and brother in law John Matthew Cartwright, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special friend and beloved sitter, Anna Johnson.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel on Monday, September 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham Texas on Tuesday September 20 at 11:00 a.m.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Wood, Zachary Jensen, Ryan Dresch, Todd Jenson, Jared Jensen, and Don Whatley.
