William Starling

William "Bill" Floyd Starling, 61, of Brenham, the father of Revillie Dawn Dobbs of Brenham died Friday, April 9, 2004, at his daughters residence. Mr. Starling was born January 7, 1943, in Laredo, Texas, to William Wesley and Lillian Revillie Daniels Starling. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, 1 March 1961 and was stationed in Germany for three years. For the past 18 years, he was employed by the Brenham State School where he devoted himself to improving the lives of the residents. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law: Revillie Dawn & Albert Dobbs of Brenham; brother: Daniel Starling of Kileen, Texas; sister: Nancy Boyd of Kileen, Texas; grandchildren: Stefanie Marie McPherson and Kathering Dawn McPherson; niece, Angel Marie Farmer and her children, Megan and Wesley; and niece, Reville Marie Trenary and her children, Destiney and Bode. He was preceded in death by his parents and one aunt. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at Prairie Lea Cemetery, with Reverend Virgil Pecht officiating. The family will recieve visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 12. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice, Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, in Brenham.
