William Elester Storey, 82, husband of Zada Storey, died April 26, 2019 at his residence in Brenham.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
William Storey was born October 14, 1936 in Coudersport, Pennsylvania to Daniel Elester and Edith Mildred Lounsberry Storey. He married Zada Alexander on April 25, 1994. Mr. Storey worked in the banking industry in Brenham.
Survivors include his wife, Zada Storey of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law Dortha and Ken Gerych of Cameron, NY, and Sharon and Rod Hoctor; brothers Arthur Storey and wife Frances of Sweden Valley, PA; Otto Storey; sister-in-law, Dimple Storey; sister, Helen Thomas; grandchildren: Walter Gerych and Lindsey Hoctor. Other surviving relatives are Robert and Rhonda Delfs.
Mr. Storey was predeceased by his son, Nathan Viggers and brothers, Frank Storey and Jack Storey; his sister Elaine, and his parents.
Bill grew up in Pennsylvania and New York. He was a master welder and a dairy farmer. He was very proud of receiving the Governor’s award for energy security and recognition as a Conservation Farm of the Year. After moving to Texas, he worked at three local banks and the Banner Press. William was an avid gardener, and enjoyed visiting with friends and taking care of his home.
