William Telford

William Welsh Telford, 88, of Brenham, died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in Trinity Medical Center. Mr. Telford was born March 29, 1919 in Clio, South Carolina to Johnson Lee and Henrietta Welsh Telford. He attended Davidson College in North Carolina. On October 6, 1945, he married Eloise Wheeler in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Telford served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of Brenham Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Eloise W. Telford; son Willialm W. Telford, Jr. and wife Marcie of Durham, N.C.; two grandchildren, Clifton Lee Telford and Johnson Clay Telford, and a nephew, Michael Mayo of Loveland, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, K. L. Telford. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 at Brenham Presbyterian Church.
