Willie C. Loesch, 88, of Brenham, died Sept. 13, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Loesch was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Washington County, Texas, to Walter and Ida Lampe Loesch. He served in the Army during World War II. On Dec. 23, 1941, he was married to Margaret Louise Witte in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in William Penn. Mr. Loesch was retired from Brentex Mills and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 48, Sons of Herman Lodge 6 and VFW Post 2104. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Loesch, on July 20, 1988; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Deborah Loesch of Jersey Village; one grandchild, Karyl Bitting; brother-in-law, Melvin Witte of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Edna Loesch of Rosenberg, Mae Ola Grebe of Brenham and Dorothy Hahn of Brenham; and special friend, Ilene Lueckemeyer. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastors Matthew Jacobs and William Holzer officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Lee Eickenhorst, Floyd Addicks, Skip Hollingsworth, James Willms, Ron Pohlmeyer and Larry Thedford. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
