Willie Schneider, Jr. 66, husband of Mary Lee Rebbe Schneider, passed away December 7, 2007 at St. Joseph s Regional Health Center in Bryan. Mr. Schneider was born February 28, 1941 in Washington County to Willie and Elsie Grimm Schneider, Sr. On April 8, 1962, he married Mary Lee Rebbe in Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. He was employed for 46 years by Blue Bell Creameries and was employed there part-time for an additional four years. Willie enjoyed playing cards and eating out with his special friends Elgin and Evelyn Klausmeyer and John and Alietha Mae Richter. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Schneider; mother, Elsie Schneider; daughter and son-in-law Connie and Mark Klausmeyer of Brenham; grandchildren Nikki Klausmeyer and special friend Cory Painter; Kristen Klausmeyer and special friend Adam Schroeder; a brother, Glen Schneider and wife Debbie of Brenham; sisters Adolphine Oevermann and husband Elwood, Elsie Wegner, and Peggy Kunkel, all of Brenham; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Alton and Erna Seilheimer, brother-in-law, Marvin Kelm of Houston; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Wilfred and Charlotte Gaskamp, all of Brenham, and sister-in-law Lois Hugo of Brenham. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Gus and Martha Rebbe, and brothers-in-law Gene Kunkel and Joe Wegner; sisters-in-law Dorothy Gaskamp and Elvera Kelm. Funeral services for Willie Schneider, Jr. will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville with Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will take place Monday, December 10 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Roger Seilheimer, Ricky Seilheimer, Nelson Seilheimer, Nathan Kelm, Troy Oevermann, Jerry Kunkel, Keith Kunkel, and Michael Wegner. All employees of Blue Bell Creameries are considered honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
