Wilma Parker

Wilma Clark Parker, 84, of Brenham, and the widow of Roland G. Parker, died in Trinity Medical Center Friday, August 20, 2004. Mrs. Parker was born October 21, 1919, in San Antonio, Texas, to Daniel H. and Irene Myers Clark. She was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio, obtained a BA degree from Southwest Texas State and received her masters degree in Library Science from the University of Texas. In August of 1943 she was married to Roland G. Parker in San Angelo, Texas. She had been employed as a Medical Librarian for the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Brenham Presbyterian Church, a member and past president of the Brenham Pilot Club, a member of University Women, a member of Brenham Fine Arts, and past Chaplain and member of DAR. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Daryl & Noelle Parker of Venice California, and sons: Howard Parker and Daniel Parker, both of Brenham. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. Visitation with family present will Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at the Oak Rest Cemetery on Mayfair Lane in Brenham. Memorials may be given to the Brenham Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
