Woodrow Heine

Woodrow Will Heine, 79, died August 19, 2017 in Brenham.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M.,Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with Pastor Denise Seymour officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30 until 6:30 Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Woodrow Heine was born January 25, 1938 in Burton to William Henry and Mattie Korthauer Heine. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, where he was baptized and confirmed. He lived his entire life in the Rehburg community and received his education in the Burton public schools.

Woodrow was a farmer and rancher, but also worked at Malkey’s Short Stop, Hohmeyer’s Longpoint Store, and Gus’ Longpoint Store. To his friends and family, he was known as “Cho-Cho.”

Survivors include nieces Susie Seeber and Jo Ann Brieden; nephew, Doug Kochwelp, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Woodrow was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Mattie Korthauer Heine; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Arthur (Dick) Kochwelp, and a sister, Ora Nell Heine.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Seeber, Arty Brieden, Kellen Kochwelp, Tyler Kochwelp, Larry Goldberg, and Kenneth Ladewig. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his cousins: Joe Neinast, Russel Neinast, Harry Penkert, Charles Landua, and Allen Wickel.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg.
