Elsie Marie Emma Tiemann Pieper of Brenham went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, August, 15, 2022.
A visitation will he held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Elsie was born on April 12, 1925, in Phillipsburg, TX, to parents Louis and Matilda Honerkamp Tiemann. She was baptized on June 14, 1925, by Pastor H.A. Henieke and confirmed into the Christian faith on April 2, 1939, by Pastor R.A. Schmidt at St. James Lutheran New Wehdem Church. On December 9, 1945, Elsie was married to Elton William Pieper at St. James New Wehdem.
Elsie served in the Brenham Independent School District for twenty-four years as a cafeteria cook and snack bar attendant where she grew to love both staff and students. During those years, she also served at St. James as a Sunday school teacher, Jr. Lutherans Leader, and church organist. She helped organize the Missionary Society and served as a secretary on the Parish Education Board. She cherished her memberships in the Martha Circle Bible study at St. James. Elsie loved cooking and typing new recipes, as well as working in her yard, but most of all, her family was always a first priority.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Elton William Pieper and son, Milton Raymond Pieper.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Charles Pieper and wife, Bonnie; grandchildren, Megan Freitag and husband Kyle; Audrey Zaffirini and husband Carlos; Jaena Silva, great-grandchildren; Vivienne and Georgia Freitag; and Asher and George Zaffirini and Landon Brooks Silva.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Weldon Emshoff, Erwin Sander, Robert Winkelmann, Ralph Tiemann, Randy Tiemann, and Troy Hanath. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Fred Kollmann.
Special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Magnolia Assisted Living Care and Allumine Hospice. Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church General Fund or Allumine Hospice.
